Blogsel 2006 - by Sarah BPosted by Paulie at

Welcome to 2006 my friends (well more like friends of Paul). However, I have a sneaking suspicion that I have a handful of loyal readers checking in from time to time (aka my grandpa & mom). My first blog of the year is devoted to life’s odd questions and misunderstandings, so here are my random rants: Does the Costco really need to have someone slashing my receipt with a blue-highliter on the way out? Do they honestly believe I am going to smuggle out a carton of yogurt under my fitted jacket… Why are New Year’s resolutions so annoying? Ye be warned, if I hear another “go to gym”, “lose weight”, “quit smoking”, “eat healthy” phrase come out of your mouth, you may soon find yourself in a life threatening situation. Why won’t people stop writing to me about China Lily curry sauce, chow mein & various canned goods? I do not possess all the answers people! I am not the all-knowing China Lily messiah. I am simply a selfish rice eater who wanted my soya sauce back. period. What’s up with those people that stand with their carts in the middle of the aisles? Why can’t you move your lazy butt to the side of the aisle like everyone else & let me pass? I really do not care to wait behind you, forced to listen in on your conversation with Debbie regarding your kid and husband and the various meals you served them for supper last week. How come people talk so loud on cell phones? Touching on my point above, the whole restaurant doesn’t care about how important you are. I just want to eat my Combination Vermicelli in peace without the details of your latest hair appointment. Why is gofugyourself.com so addicting? How those women are so full of catty-cattiness, I will never know. What I do know is that Heather is my hero and her ability to reference Blanche Deveroux from the Golden Girls into a sentence about blouses-gone-wrong is remarkable. Ahhhh, that feels much better. Bring on 2006! Sarah |
